You are here

Welcome to Clarendon United Methodist Church's web site. We are pleased you are visiting and hope you get to know a little about us through these pages. If you have not been to one of our worship services, we hope you will be our guest and give us a chance to get to know you too.

We have two worship services on Sunday mornings. Our 8:30 Arise! Service is informal and our music, led by The Clarendon Praise Band, is a lively blend of contemporary Christian music and traditional church hymns. Our 11:00 service is a more traditional and classical service with music provided by the Chancel Choir under the direction of Mark Frazier. Our Youth, Children and Bell Choirs, under the direction of Lisa Gibbs-Smith and Fran Underwood, periodically add even more joy to the services.

We celebrate the rite of Holy Communion every week, believing it to be "the sacrament that sustains and nourishes us in our journey of salvation". Both services are followed by a time of fellowship in the social hall, and Sunday school for all ages is offered at 9:45am. Please visit the Sunday school pages to find a class that suits your spiritual needs. We have a dynamic children's ministries program under the direction of Diane Smith and a vibrant youth fellowship program. Tracy Wines, Pastor
